About Kate Small

Kate Small is a full-time furniture designer and maker based in rural New South Wales. Kate studied Graphic Design and an introduction to furniture making which led her to Sturt School of Wood in 2016. Sturt awakened her passion and appreciation for the craft as well as evolving Kate’s design skills and expanding her knowledge of woodworking. Since completing her year at Sturt, Kate’s passion for woodworking has led her to setup her own workshop where she is happily hand crafting quality pieces using traditional woodworking techniques, tools and machines.
